BDSM where to start

Looking  for some advice on where to start  with Bdsm experience.  Always  been interested  now need the experience.

First place to start is with a bit of reading and research before actually jumping in and doing a scene that's anything more extreme than a bit of light spanking!  I'm not gonna pretend to be an authority on the scene at all, but here are some key terms to get acquainted with (and they apply regardless of where you sit on the kink spectrum)!

• the SSC, RACK and PRICK principles are great starting points to start.  They'll give you a good grounding of the kind of mindset you should be entering with.
• Active consent and negotiation: two things that should always be in the mix when you're planning and engaging in scenes.
• Aftercare, safewords and communication: these are (IMO) fundamental concepts that you need to have an awareness of when getting into kink to make sure the scene ends as positively as it started.
