18 is the legal requirement
whether someone is mature enough at 18 or not is up to that individual and their environment. We have met peopel throuh the site who are younger than us ( not 18, in early 20's ) and they are more mature than a lot of the 40's and 50 year olds.
The site follows a legal requirement and if it was to be increased voluntarily without legal suport you may even find a group of youngsters crying discrimination as legally they are allowed to be on a site such as KS.
