Nude beaches in Auckland..?

Been down to Ladies Bay today (20 Sep) and access to the beach is closed for repairs on the steps until December (weather permitting) so just wondering if anyone can recommend a similar nude beach in the Auckland area..?

UPDATE 14 DEC:

Just letting everyone know that the work to stabilise the steps has been completed and the access to Ladies Bay beach is open again.  Summer is here so hope to see all your naked bums on the beach - happy days..!  😇

Have seen some questions about Pohutukawa Bay so thought it would be good to clarify that we've spoken to the DoC Rangers and people complain about the men walking up/down the beach without their clothes.  The Rangers are simply asking that if you go nude then enjoy the sun, go swim but do not walk up/down in full view of the non-nude public who are also users of the beach.  We can't comment on sex/wanking on the beach but just thinking that some people may find it offensive and will likely raise a complaint with DoC.   Still a great beach though and very popular especially over weekends.   Sun's out so let's see some bums out there..!   ;-)

Orpheus Bay, near Huia is the place to be

Ladies Bay is done for this year, there are dirt tracks to gentlemens bay around the corner, but they can be dangerous and women unlikely to use it.

Pohutakawa Bay in Long Bay National park is the best, but it's a 40 min walk from the carpark to get there, so a bit of a day trip.

Other known beach is St Leonards Beach by Takapuna, and around the corner to the left when tides allow, however if tides are low, people do walk past.. If any ladies are interested keen to meet there.

 There is the beach on the shore along from Long Bay, I think it is call Pohutakawa Bay.

Pohutukawa Bay is awesome,  but only at low to mid tide. Walking around the rocks is quicker. About 15 minutes from the end of Long Bay. Hope to get there more ourselves this summer 

Hey guys. Was planning on going out to Orpheus bay this Sunday. Can somebody confirm if its open or closed? Cheers! 

Its not officially a nude spot but at the end of Walker Rd in Pt Chev is a place called Eric Armishaw Park (really central). If you head down the coastal walk track at the end is a great little beach for some nude sunbathing or general naughtiness. Especially later in the afternoons and evenings or sometimes during work hours. Occasionally someone walks by with their dog but otherwise it's usually quite quiet.

Going to check-out Pohutukawa Bay today...  Sun 27 Oct...  hoping for a nice sunny day and some good company.  ?

only problem is when it's low tide, every man and their dog walks around and there's no privacy from public and kids.

Re ladies bay, if able you can still jump the fence and sneak down...….. not a bad thing as it's got rid of some of the less fit locals haha..

Hi everyone is track to Ladies Bay or Orphues Bay open as i have next week off and would be great to get a group together for some week day fun in the sun at one of the nude beaches in Auckland.

Has anyone been to Pohotukawa bay in the last week. Is it safe to be nude there. I understand there was a DOC ranger turned up last weekend

Hi guys, does any of you know of any nude beach in east Auckland? Me n mrs wanna head out and explore may be tomorrow or Friday, 8th or 9th January. Don’t know if ladies bay is good spot to go to or not

It’s the week even better. Not as many people. It’s a hike to get there , but private when you get there😊.   I go every week in summer
