Was yakking in chat today and subject got to the humerous things our parents said to us aspecially when we were kids; What are some of your memories?

The 2 I remember from mum was

A/ When we were doing something dangerously dumb "If you kill your self Im going to give you a thrashing"

B/ the other was "Kids need smacking every day, if you havent done anything wrong you have thought about it"

Whats some of your amusing fond memories of yah parent(s)

One of dad's fav's was "If you want it done properly then do it yourself"

Guess it helped as I can make things if i want too lol

The ones that used to make me laugh was:
"I'll wipe that smile off your face"...... (what? whith a facecloth?) and....
"I'll make you smile on the other side of your face"..... (eh????)

At least you can still eat standing up :-p
