while i think this would be awesome i dont think it would be possible, simply due to the fact that the company who owns KS is based in the UK so handin the money to them could prove a lil hard icon_biggrin.gif

KS NZ Could always set up a trust account on the NZ KS side, the money could be transferred to the UK account quarterly/annually or maybe used to assist KS members in need, or a charity grant of some sort.

Im sure there are several members that would like to go 'extra'

while its a good idea having someone to administer the account would be a nightmare and i dont think the owners want ks to be a charity site as it is their business, extras goes towards their business, site upgrades etc for all their sites( i assume)

The only "Extras" renewal is a full one year payment ..... you might find if people can pay a shorter time period eg 3 or 6 months as well, might get you more paying members, especially some of the ones that cant really afford the full year all in one hit.

good point priz, will bring it up to the admin to look into and post outcome here for you icon_biggrin.gif

update for you priz. have chatted with admin, they will bring it up in their next admin meeting BUT keep in mind they havnt done member ship that way for any of their sites and so a change could be costly and may not be something that will happen. definitely will be discussed though icon_biggrin.gif

Post Shop, buy a pre-paid credit card, use it to buy Extras.

Cool... The 'similar sites to KS' do the 3 month, 6 month and one year options, to cover any 'extra cost to the site' the cost for a part year are slightly higher than you would pay for a full year membership; For example one site charges a "trial" membership for one month for $14-95, then 3 month $27-95, 6 month $39-95 and 12 month $59-95

The shorter terms incur an extra loading on the fee to cover the extra costs to admin and seem to be an accepted practice by members. I found it handy when my membership on the couple payed sites I belong to came due and I was not quite prepared for it and I took the short term option to get me over the period till the finances were better.

I think with the free 12 month extras falling off a lot of accounts recently we may be seeing some changes to the payment systems

feel free to shoot over to the UK site and see how they handle it.

Thats where we will be heading

how many of you are really going to pay this fee?

personally i do not mind paying some fee's. it filters the serious from the not so serious. but i do not think that the site is worth 60 dollars as it is now.

we already pay for NZD and have paid for a lifetime membership for sdc.com ( last one would be worth 60 dollars, have a look)

its nice that the owners live in the uk but they earn UK money.

looking forward to your comments.

taking mod hat off for a minute - I actually do think the site is worth the yearly membership and dont think that $60 is too much , especially now with the one membership but dual chat option that has become available for those with extras as it means only having to pay for extras once.

but that said KS is truly my online home, i love the place and dont like the other places online so much.

/ mod hat back on lol

You cant even go out to eat in a nice restaurant in NZ for less than $60 once you pay for drinks.

Extras is for a whole year.

Personally not being able to have full site functionality would kill me.

thanks for the reply guys, but to be honest if you are part of the team its hard to say its not worth it. i am not saying its worth after the site has grown up a bit but not at this moment. we do like the changes that are going on but i think the people who were in in the beginning should be given a bonus. its them who build the site wer you are now. thats how sdc did it in the past.

there is to much choice on swingers site, you can argue about the quality but i really think 30 to 40 dollars would be more than enough right now.

just our thought.
