Myself and Idgara both feel the colour pallette for chat does not have enough colours to choose from. Too many people chatting in the same colour is confusing and some of the available colours looks horrible or are unreadable when used.

Secondly it would be nice to have a notification show up when someone enters the room. Is really distracting to have to keep scrolling down a list of 100 people to see who is in there. This would also help some of us welcome new members as they arrive.

Thirdly it would be nice if the information on profiles was completed/made compulsory: ie Ages/locations etc. Anyone who is genuine will not have a problem completing this surely. Nothing worse than looking at someone who is contacting or interests you and having no information.

All fantastic suggestions macca
Let me go through your list

MORE COLOURS DAMMIT!!
This has been bandied about a lot by various members over the past 6 months or so.
Yep would be GREAT to have a few more colours and lets hope that does come in at some stage, but in the scheme of things a stable server and more functionality in chat has been the warcry heard from admin and so we paitently wait for the cosmetic side of things to be looked at.

YOU CAME IN WHEN???
Yeah this would would be really good too, but again it would be classified as cosmetic over things like the recently added block function and giving mods better tools to bash the disruptive newbies.

HOW CAN YOU BE BORN IN 2011??
The information being compulsary is a bit of a double edged sword.
Yeah it would be awesome to know every little detail of the person your are perving at.
But on the same token some people are not comfortable putting themselves wwaayyyyy out there on a website.
Anonimity can be a safety net, especially in the lifestyle we like and are accustomed to.
In short i dont think that this will ever be enforced.
And heck thats what going in to chat and making new friends is all about isnt it?
Getting that relationship going so you can learn more about ya fellow filth merchants icon_biggrin.gif

So basically in summary, Points 1 & 2 "watch this space" and Point 3 is unlikely to happen.

Do be assured though that admin do read these threads and take everything onboard.

All good ideas, but we feel to have it on the chat screen when someone enters and leaves only fills up the screen and can make it hard to continue reading the chat. ideally people should say hello or good bye, but like that always happens.

Thanks

for prompt replies
J - agreed re servers etc - these are suggestions for down the track sometime not necessarily right now.
And maybe at least proper ages and postal codes could be made compulsory.
Discretion is certainly a watchword in this game but natural shyness etc is certainly also appreciated here.

Sav - not really wanting to know when someone leaves, just a little something to say someone has entered? - Could even be a little bubble on the list rather than in the chat screen?

Anyways is very hard to improve what is the best site in NZ already.
