We were recently contacted in the chat room by a (now former) member who had some amazing photos on their couple profile. After a bit of chat, we became suspicious and so we did a google image search on the photos and found that the profile photos were available for viewing all over the web on various porn sites. Needless to say, we were not impressed. We had a quick chat with one of the awesome moderators who dealt swiftly with the issue. Since then we have found more than seven other profiles with photos that are not of the account holder (in breach of the acceptable use policy AUP). We have reported a few, but what we would like to know from other members is:- 1. Whether we are being unreasonable or acting like the fun-police for reporting all these profiles 2. Is there any legitimate reason for having fake photos on a profile (because we can't think of one)
Fair enough. Using fake photos is a misrepresentation of who you are, Good on you for reporting it.
The other thing that seems to be getting popular is single males with pics of females on their profile. Do the females in the pics know what the pics are being used for? And have the given consent for the use of the photo's?
In both cases profile pictures are to show people who YOU are. Not who you have slept with or what you want to look like.

It's simple enough- your pics are there to show who you are. Not, as DnM so succinctly put it, "who you have slept with or what you want to look like".
I've also reported members with fake pics, and profiles that are fake too. One of the best things about KS is that it has a lot of genuine people on here, so the more we can keep it that way the better.
The AUP says clearly that pics should be of the account holder. As a single guy I do have some pics that include partners, but they are always 'approved' by anyone else who's in them (although you can't see any pics just now as I'm 'in hibernation' currently) ;)
Just to offer a "how we do things round here" point of view. Mods Auth 100's of pics a day. We do our very best to ensure the pics we authorize are genuine but we regrettably do not have the time to go through every single pic we get on google or tineye to ensure this authenticity. Yes having false or misleading information on a profile is NOT allowed. And reporting said information with ample proof can lead anywhere from a warning to a permanent ban to the offending party,depending on the severity of the mis-information. Those that do take the time to submit a report we thank you VERY much and hope you keep up this fine work With regards to third parties in photos. The Acceptable Use Policy states: Photos -All photos shall contain the account holder(s); it should not be possible to identify any third parties. Thus if the third parties face is blurred out and the account holder can be seen then the photo will be authorized. Thank you heaps for your feedback though, it is read and listened too.
Really find it hard to believe that there are people ignorant enough to do that. So I'll chat with you become friends, like your sexy photos, and agree to meet. Do you watch me look around for you for a laugh? Or hope instead of the sexy gal I was meeting you'll say actually, I'm a stick figure, wanna do me anyway? Can't see how there is an upside for anyone.
I think banning profiles with fake profiles is a prerequisite for a safe and successful site - The level of trust among bona-fide users decreases when there are 'fake' users out there.
Upon reading this loop its incredible to think they can get away with it but whats worse i feel, are those clowns who take pics of thier exploits and then post them publicly with out the expressed permission of those in the pic. You would think they would seek permission first or at the least make an effort to blur out identifying features. Understand there will be those saying well why did we let him take the pics, honestly we were so engrossed we didnt even realise he had until they were posted...whew..breathhh

If it is a couple or a single person the other people in any photo that is uploaded must not be identifiable as they would be considered the "third party" and somehow blurred out or masked over.
As for fake photos - it is just a waste of time, we try out best to weed them out before they are approved but if some do slip though we do appreciate the reports stating such. And yes if people persist in using them they will face the consequences.
I have been thinking for a very long time on how to combat fake profiles, and the only thing i can come up with is the ability to click a button like we have for friends but its a fake 'registering button', if we feel they are fake we register it, and when that profiles receives a certain level of 'fake' hits from people concerned, the moderators look into it and request phone calls or cam to identify people as real or delete profile.
This is mostly to do with couples and female profiles.
personally i have no issue with proving I'm real, and in the end of the day any proof that a female is in behind an advert certainly ensures its not a guy with fake add…
This also works on fake pics etc… ability to make comment why think is fake?

I mean 50+ photos!! Surely alarm bells would be ringing? A 26yo male who has had sex with over 30 different woman, not impossible I know, but really?? ... And all young, nubile models?

I hear you guys stunning pics and if that guy is for real then I want to buy him a beer and find out the secret lol however on a serious note we have struck people who have had fake pics or some such and it can really wreck a great evening.

Have just discovered that the female of a couple profile has been having an affair with the husband of a good swinger friend here and broke their marriage up. The separated husband is now posing as "single" which he is clearly not yet. As I understand they have both lied on many occasion to the point where he would not admit what has happened. He says he plays with the said female as "a couple". On top of that I see numerous photos on the offending couples profile, including a video I can identify him and her at it. They have no consciousness or guiltiness especially to the feelings of "heartbroken" friend, that they make it hard for single female swingers when the couple profile and the husband's profile has false information and is totally out of order in my opinion.
Given that this is sometimes a hard fact of life where sadly married couples do break up, I am appalled that false information on both profiles is allowed to be flaunted in the face of the estranged female whom the husband left for and all I can conclude to the matter is, I hope karma bites them both in the arse.
Hell yes kick them off ! It sux when you get to the point that you have to view people and thier profiles with a certain amount of uncertainty but as we have found you kind of have to . We have had numerous occasions where supposedly very sexy couples or girls have contacted us then after luring you into a night of sexy chat just mysteriously disapear ? To the next bunch of fakes FFs just watch some porn and rub one out instead of wasting people's time ya losers !!! We have also been recently been told about a very regular couple on here that once given access to private albums have saved hundreds of pics to thier computer ? Well it now seems that the truth hurts, my postings to the false couples profile wall and to the so called "single" male profile were wiped and now I have been blocked.
What consequences are there when it's the liars and cheats on here with their false information on profiles are able to act like innocent respondents?
I can't report them either as they have blocked me and what's even more unreal is, the "single male" husband has even blocked his wife on their older couples profile. In my view, she wont like me saying, but I think she has been humiliated long enough by these false profiles and there's not a thing we can do about it but add to this forum while they continue to be members.

Id like to put my hand up and say i think it was me who authorised those photos. I do all my mod work via my phone and unless something is clearly fake i authorise. I actually deleted many of the same members photos as well as authing many. Unfortunately sometimes , being human, i get it wrong.

Initially I had thought it was wrong when reading the false information in the first place and ultimately spoils what swing is about. I have seen these misbehaviours before and demeans the trust needed in these relationships. Someone needs to speak up and say it loud and clear, get rid of these couples, who make false profiles or misleading information and people who continue to get away with it. I do understand your position and appreciate that but rumours remain rampant when someone doesn't speak up in the first place.. I posted publically my concerns because I know the facts and judging by their reactive response to wiping my postings off their walls fast and being blocked, speaks loudly enough.

You made this comment on another site, think you like being center of attention, but personally I don,t care what people put on there profile as long as the face pic matches and i usually decide by chatting to someone first
